3 Fears
I HATE flying and I have to do it in two days. Pray for me.
I am terrified that someone might kidnap my children or hurt them in some way. I am also afraid I won't know what to do in emergency sutuations although I have already had to do the heimlich on Lily twice and we both lived through it.
I am afraid of World War 3
3 current collections/obsessions
I am absolutely obssesed with EVERYTHING my daughter does. I watch the videos I make of her about 100 times a day.
I am obssesed with cleaning. I wouldn't consider myself a clean freak but some people might say that.
My third one would have to be looking at blogs.
3 Random/Surprising facts about myslef.
I love kids cartoons. I could watch cartoon network all day. Good thing we don't have that channel.
The last job I had I yelled at my boss and told him I wasn't coming back for a few days then I walked away. He called me several times over the next few days and I ignored him. I thought for sure I was fired(which at that point I can't say I really cared) but when I went back he appologized for how he treated me. We actually had a really good relationship after that.
I get really nervous when I talk on the phone. Even if it is a close friend I still get hot and sweaty and my heart pounds. I hate talking on the phone.
Please hold on tightly to each other for the duration of the ride...

Obsession
The first thing Lily says when she wakes up in the morning is "Dog? Dog?" Jacob made a cute little slide show for her with lots of dogs. You can see it in her eyes how excited she is to be watching it. We couldn't figure out what the little spitting sound was all about but we soon figured out it was her barking. Her patting her leg is the sign for dog. Today I think she said dog for about an hour straight. Although I almost went crazy I still think this is such a cute age. Then again I think i've been saying that every month since she's been born. This is just a warning to my family for when we come see you in a week. Steer clear of the D O G word because once you get her going it is very hard to get her to stop.

Father's Day
It's MY day! I only get two of them a year, so I thought I'd better take advantage of it. It's nice to have those days in the year where my very existence is celebrated and all the stupid things I do are forgotten. But, I wouldn't even be a father if it weren't for my beautiful daughter. So I think we should celebrate her, too. When we first suspected Kat was pregnant, I freaked out and didn't talk to her much for the rest of the day. I couldn't believe I'd gone and done something so stupid. But it turned out to be quite the most wonderful thing. Lily is so special, and I'm always bragging about her, but it's only because I'm so crazy about her. I love walking into her room when she's awake and finding her smiling at me, so happy to be discovered again each morning.
And of course, I wouldn't have Lily if I didn't have Kat. Kat is the single greatest thing to happen in my life. She's the source of my creativity, humor, fun, and happiness. She's a spectacular mom and friend, and she cooks really really well, regardless of what she'll tell you. It wouldn't be a great Father's Day if it weren't for my amazing wife. I love my ladies more than anything.
Last but not least, there's my own Dad. He's been one of my best friends all my life. I love to talk to him on the phone and just chat, even though he wouldn't guess it since I never answer when he calls, but I always look forward to hearing his voice and telling him what's going on in my week. He's one of the first to read anything I write, and tell me how much he enjoys it. He's the hardest working person I know. And he's my hero. I love you, Dad! Below is a picture of my old man, as you can see, he has a great sense of humor:
