The Park

We took Lily to the park the other day. It was so nice outside. Here she is eating something and trying to decide if she likes it or not. Jacob decorated her hair with leaves.
This isn't the most exciting video but I thought the last part of it was cute. It is really short. The first part is Lily's first time on a slide. She is not quite sure what to think about it. It was actually a really fun slide. I quite enjoyed it myself.

Did you forget something?

Sometimes I have so many things on my brain that I almost forget to grab my purse or a bag out of the grocery cart after I return it. I know of other people who have left something there and had to go back and get it. I'm not naming any names though. (Becca) Anyway I was thinking the other day how sad it would be if somebody left their kid. I just happened to be at the grocery store the other day with the camera and thought it would be a funny (but sad) picture.

Lil Bro

My brother David returns home from his mission in less than 24 hours. Even though I don't get to see him for another month I am still so excited. I can't believe it has been two years already. I am so proud of him and all his hard work. I am also excited for him to write more songs. He is a very talented musician. I love you Dave. Even though Lily has never met him, She is still a big fan of his music. Here she is rockin' out to his CD.

Happy Memory Day!

Kat and I want to give our thanks to those who have served, are serving, or will serve in the armed forces. The freedoms we have and that other countries have are because of your efforts. We're proud of you Dad, Grandpa, Justin Heaton, Cameron Buttars, Brent Nichols, Joe Merci, and others!

Daddy's Girl

I just thought this picture was so cute. Whenever Jacob comes home Lily just wants to be by his side no matter what he is doing. He will usually play with her and read to her for a while but even after all that she still just wants to sit by him. One of her favorite things to do with him is watch clips from BYU games on the computer. It is nice because it gives me a break to go do a few things that I need to get done. Thanks Jacob for being such a good Dad.

Just for fun

Lily's hair has been getting out of control. It is at that point where it is too short to stay pulled up and it is just silly looking when it's down. I tried curling it to see if it would work. It didn't work out too well but I thought I would try it again on Sunday. It still didn't work very well but she was still adorable. It was her idea to jazz things up with some pink pearls and insisted on wearing them to church. At least they matched her dress.

Today was finally a warm day. It has been raining for a while and I was getting sick of it. We decided to plant flowers in the little planter boxes that were just sitting on our porch. Thanks Sara for the gardening kit you gave Lily for her birthday and thanks Lily for letting me borrow it. It came in handy. Lily enjoyed being outside. She mostly just ate the dirt but at least she had fun doing it.

Magic Happens

That's the phrase Max Hall coined. Anyway, it's a good time to be a Cougar, even in baseball. In case you haven't heard, Saturday was the final sporting event of the season between Utah and BYU. It didn't look good for the Cougs going into the 8th inning. They were down 10-0. But since when did that ever stop the magic? BYU put up 12 runs in that inning and added one more for good measure in the ninth, finishing the game 13-10 . It's a good time to be a Cougar. Let the magic keep rolling!

The Party

THE PARTY GROUP: As I was looking at these pictures I was reminded what great friends we have made here. They are so supportive and fun. Thanks to all of you who came. If you are wondering why nobody is looking at the camera it is because I snapped this shot while they were playing the nintendo wii.
PRESENTS AND CAKE: To tell you the truth it was hard for me to sit back and let my daughter eat something so full of sugar and unhealthy but what's a birthday party when you can't even eat your own cake.

THE LOOT: Thanks for the gifts everybody. They are great. This is not even all of it. She had lots of clothes (including the outfit she is wearing) and money.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILY

I can't believe it has been a year already. I remember the day she was born like it was just yesterday. Sometimes I still can't even believe that I have a child. I could not have asked for a better one. She is absolutely perfect. Not a day goes by that I don't thank my Father in heaven for the sweet little angel he sent to us. Thanks Lily for being so great.

At least I try

This is me trying to exercise with my workout video. She usually laughs at me because she finds it funny that I copy the people on the TV.

Strange things are going on around here

Sometimes when I open a drawer or cupboard I find a little surprise. The other day we were missing the remote to a hard drive that we have hooked up to the TV. The hard drive does not work with out it so we searched for hours in every drawer and cupboard that Lily can reach. We finally found it around midnight in Jacob's backpack.

Tagged

When I got this tag my daughter just so happened to be giving me all the books she could reach off the shelf. I had a huge pile in my lap. Most of them only had about 5 pages but it was a toss up between The Book of Virtues or some spanish workbook. I chose the first one.

The little girl held her cup carefully and caught her drops.

I tag Becca (because she hates tags and won't respond anyway) Shaleena, Heather, Karen (you work at a library so you shouldn't have a problem finding a book), Jen
Here’s what you do:
a)pick up the nearest book
b)turn to page 123
c)find the fifth sentence
d)post the fifth sentencee)tag 5 (or more) people.
