So Sad

A few days ago I noticed that Lily was crawling without using her left arm. We took her in and sure enough she has a buckle fracture in her wrist. It is so sad to see her with a cast on her arm.

She was having a hard time pulling all the toys out of the basket with only one arm, so she decided to climb in and get them.
This is the first cast they put on in the ER.

This is the second cast they put on when she went to see the specialist. She hates it because she can't suck her thumb. She hasn't figured out yet that she has one on her other hand.

Here are two videos back to back of how she crawls with her cast on. The first one is how she was crawling the day we took her in.

That is so cute and sad all at the same time. I loved the videos! How long will she be in the cast for?

Reminds me of my sock-hand days after my finger was cut off. So sad!

She's very inventive in her crawling techniques! It's pretty neat that you found out because of her crawling and not her crying. Do you know how it happened?

That is a bummer, but it certainly doesn't seem to be slowing her down at all. She was crawling with only one hand? Wow -- resourceful girl! She'll be just fine.

That is so sad! (I laughed like crazy though) It's not slowing her down at all. She is one tough little cookie! You are right though, we definitely can't go out in public when I come. Cody and Lily will make a pretty comical combination!

When Amy was little, her elbow was dislocated, and she couldn't reach her thumb to her mouth. That's how she quit sucking her thumb! It's a good way, but a little rash, Kathryn! I miss you!
