Another Laugh

I know I have been posting a lot of videos of Jake laughing but I love it too much. He is having trouble holding his head up in this one because he is laughing so hard. I must warn you that the video ends on a sad note but it's still worth watching.

Lily

Lily always looks so confused when I take her picture. I just wanted to take one so I could remember just how she looked this morning. She is the absolute sweetest thing and I feel bad that I don't record more of the little things that she does. This morning she woke up crying because she heard Jacob ride away on his bike and she was sad that she didn't get to watch him. I told her she could watch him when he comes back and she seemed satisfied. She then gave me a big hug and told me with a smile that she had a good sleep. Then we went to the kitchen for breakfast. I poured her a bowl of cereal then went to get the milk. She saw the box of cereal and my empty bowl next to it on the table and said "Oh I'll get that for you Mama." Then she pours me a bowl. Then she asked if I would sit by her. I told her yes then grabbed a rubber band to pull her hair back. While I'm doing her hair she says "Thanks mom." Then I sit next to her. She pulls my bowl right up next to hers and smiles at me. After taking a bite she turns to me and gives me a hug and a kiss.

At the Zoo in Omaha she was in the bird cage with jacob. For some reason she goes running up to the doors and yells "Mom I need to come out." Right as I was going to let her out somebody else was going in so she got out. She comes running over to me, gives me a hug and a kiss and says "I love you mommy." Then she runs back to the bird cage doors and yells "Mom I need to get in."

At the Childrens Museum she climbed down from the playhouse and ran over to where I was talkind with Jacob and his sister Becky. She gave me another hug and kiss then runs off again. Jacob yelled after her "Hey wheres mine?"

Last night Jacob was working till midnight so we took dinner to him and ate with him. When we got to his work Lily went running through the doors over to him and gave him a big hug and kiss. Then she said "I love you Daddy."

Even though age two has been quite a challenge for me, I still find myself often wishing that she would stop growing up and stay just the way she is.

Omaha Zoo

I was excited to go to the zoo this year because last time we went Lily was only one and although she loved it I figured she would love it even more now that she understands more. I think her favorite was the gorillas. She still talks about them. Here she is with cousins Josie and Anthony watching them. I hate that you can see the wire from the cage in this picture. I didn't go in because strollers were not aloud so I stayed out with the babies. This was the best shot I could get. Jacob was pretty good at catching the birds on the stick.
We got a picture similar to this one last year. I forgot to add Jake in it this time. I still love you though buddy.
Here is Lily watching some birds very closely.

Also Becky and her family collect cars from the movie "Cars." It is insane how many they have. Lily was loving them because she loves the movie and just loves cars in general.

Mormon Trail Center

We went out to the Winter Quarters Temple and the Morman Trail center. It was a neat experience. Two of the cutest pioneers in the world.
Here I am showcasing a model of the Salt Lake Temple. I should be on The Price is Right don't you think?
One of the things that really touched me was seeing the actual graves of the pioneer children and loved ones who died there. They were scattered about on the temple grounds. This is a memorial built on top of a grave of an unknown child. It is a statue of two parents burying their child.
Lily and her cousins running to the Temple. It is a small but beautiful Temple as you can see.
Lily has this fascination with touching the Temple. Every time we talk about a Temple she always remembers how she touched it. This is only the second Temple she has actually been to but she has seen pictures of others.
Later that evening we went for a little swim. Here is Jake watching everybody. After a while his hair got all wet because some kids kept coming up and rubbing his head for some reason.

The Amazing Pizza Machine

We went to a Pizza place that puts Chuckey Cheese to shame. It was so much fun. We won over 900 tickets on games thanks to Jacob playing Deal or no Deal a lot.Lily kept running down the isle while bowling.
I think she especially enjoyed the jungle gym. Her face was so fun to watch while doing this. One of my favorite things about being a mom is watching my kids do something fun that puts a perma smile on their face and you can tell they are just loving it.
There were lots of little rides that she enjoyed. I don't know why she looks nervous in this picture. She asked to do this ride over and over agin. Below is her first time bowling. She had more power than I thought she would throwing that thing. It was a pretty little ball but it was still heavy.

The Children's Museum

The last day we went to the childrens museum. It was the cutest place ever. It gave me so many ideas of things that I want to do for my kids when we own our own house some day. Of course by the time that happens my kids will be grown up so maybe it will have to be for the grandkids.
Here is Lily trying to lift Aunt Becky. Anthony is in the other chair and Makayla is in the stroller.
One of my favorite parts was Sesame Street. Here is Lily and Big Bird. Below is Jacob and Lils in a fire truck. Lily LOVES fire trucks. To her a fire truck makes the same sound as a wolf.
More Sesame street. Here is Jacob and the kids sitting on the famouse steps of 123 Sesame Street. I wish I got the 123 address in the picture but oh well.
Jake showing off his goofy feet with Elmo, Bert and Abby.
There were so many things to do here and Lily was staying plenty busy and loving every minute.

On the way home Lily pulled up her shirt to feed her baby. After she was done she asked for a rag because the baby spilled (spit up). She has come a long way because she used to nurse her baby from her belly button.

Also on the way home Jacob and I were getting pretty tired driving in the early hours of the morning so he came up with a game to keep us awake. It may sound a bit gross but it worked really well. What you do is one person picks a category like numbers 1-10. Then they pick a number. The other person tries to guess all the numbers except the one that is picked. If they choose the number that was picked then they get a small mouthfull of water spit in their face. If you were to guess all the other 9 numbers then you win. Jacob won a handful of times and I won only once. It was mostly just the two of us spitting water at each other for a couple of hours. By the time we got home we were tired, wet, and happy.
